PS3: “PlayMemories” App To Bring 3D Photos

Every year at the “Tokyo Game Show”, it is the ideal setting for any video gaming developers to showcase their latest games and up and coming related hardware. At this year’s event which took place over four days last week, we were lucky enough to hear different PS3 3D announcements made. Surprisingly enough, we were kept in the dark regarding their latest venture, the new “PlayMemories“ downloadable app.

When Donald Melanson at Engadget reported on this, the new app can be downloaded free of charge from the PlayStation Store late September. It can be used not just on the Playstation console but also on Sony’s 3D Bravia television. For those of you who have to view the latest technology in 3D, the app will allow you to do this as well as look at 2D still images taken with the aid of a 3D camera. This could include the Sony NEX-5, NEX-3, WX5 or even the TX9.
