iPhone 4: China release date revealed

Apple has issued a statement announcing that their iPhone 4 will be released in China on the 25th September. The phone will be available from two new Apple stores (one in Beijing and the other in Shanghai) and also through China Unicom stores.

There will be a few minor differences between the Chinese version of the iPhone 4 and the version sold elsewhere according to Mashable. A majority of its features will stay intact such as HD video, LED flash, Retina display and FaceTime. However be aware, China’s iPhone 4 is going to be very expensive!

The 16 GB model is going to set you back around 4,999 yuan ($740, £475) and the 32 GB will sell for 5,999 yuan ($890, £570). Oh and did I mention that is without contract? Apparently contract deals will not be available through the Apple stores, but will through the China Unicom stores. No details have been released by Unicom about the pricing of any such deals, as of yet.
