Casio Exilim EX-H20G Hybrid GPS: Geotag Photos

Casio have just announced the first ever camera with Hybrid GPS, which gives it the capability of geotagging photo and video where other traditional cameras cannot. The new model was introduced earlier today and was press released on Engadget.

The Casio Exilim EX-H20G Hybrid GPS comes with 720p movie mode, a 14.1 megapixel sensor, SD / SDHC / SDXC memory card slot, a 10x optical zoomer, an ISO range of 80 to 3200, 3-inch rear LCD, CCD-shift image stabilization and an HDMI output. The flashy digital camera is going to cost you around $350 (£225) and will be out this November.

The main selling point of the Exilim will be the ability to geotag media via the built in GPS, which involves adding geographical information to your photos and video. Once you have added a latitude and longitude to said photograph or video you can tie it to its exact geographical location.

Also the company has included a world atlas with detailed maps of 140 cities around the world, and the rear screen can actually display the user’s current position. This new camera really is a must have for photograph and outdoor enthusiasts.
