Justin.tv has admitted that they are not the first company to bring this type of app to the iPhone, however the edge that they have over their competitors is the quality of video they deliver. The resolution is only 320×240, but the bitrate on Wi-Fi is very high which is an advantage as it improves the viewing experience when watching the live broadcast.

Justin.tv has announced that in just 2 weeks, Android users already make up 20% of the total broadcasting population which clearly indicates that mobile has huge implications for live video services. Thanks to Justin.tv’s app update we are all one step closer finally to quality live broadcasts directly to our smartphones.
