Super Bowl & PepsiCo To Show 6 Consumer Ads

Doritos and PepsiCo have invited people who buy their products to create a 30 video commercial to be shown on February 6 2011 during a football game at the world famous “Super Bowl”. Following on from a similar venture some five years ago, Doritos with the co-operation of PepsiCo have once again invited consumers to make a commercial that incorporates their love for the tortilla chip maker and Pepsi Max.

According to Lauren Indvik at Mashable, it is hoped with parent company “Pepsico” on board it will open up more opportunity for contestants to have their ads chosen and aired at the beginning of February. Once participants have created a video they can upload it to crashthesuperbowl.com between September 27 and November 17. The decision process to find the two best videos, one for Doritos and one for Pepsi Max will not be easy.

After ten finalists are chosen, five for each product will be placed online for fans to vote on their favourite. This will be shortlisted down to four and then the final two chosen by Doritos and Pepsi Max executives. Top prize for the ultimate winner will be in the region of $600,000!
