Nokia: Release Of Foursquare App For Symbian^3 On Its Way

Today, at Nokia World in London, the uncovering of Nokia’s new “Foursquare” application for Symbian^3 devices took place. Reports have said that it will be featured at the improved “Ovi” store sometime next week.

According to Jennifer Van Grove at Mashable, the new Foursquare app can be compared in similarity to that of the location-based app found on competing smartphones. It will give its users the benefit of checking-in to their friends’ locations as well as finding places and earning badges. For some people today, they were lucky enough to have a glimpse of what we can expect to see in the near future!

It was reported earlier today, that the new Nokia Foursquare app was showcased running on the Nokia N8. Indications show that the app will be pushed out onto Symbian^3 handsets first to then be followed by “S60” devices.
