Apple iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad Enjoying “Unreal Games”

Epic Games the video game development company in America have just been attending the Korea Games Conference. They have just announced that their development tools to create “Unreal graphics engine” will soon be available on iOS applications. Currently it is being used on popular games on devices such as X-box, Wii and PlayStation 3. Games such as Mass Effect, Red Steel and Mirror’s Edge are all proving to be successful in their own right.

When Samuel Axon at Mashable reported on this, for those of you out there who may have been waiting for Unreal graphics to be transferable to devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad games will now be jumping up and down in excitement. At the latest Apple event at the start of September, Epic were keen to show it’s attendees the tech demo game called “Epic Citadel” running on the Unreal engine. It has been available as a free download from the App Store, resulting in users accessing it one million times.

With the introduction of the new iPod Touch 4G and iPad recently being launched at the event on September 1, Apple seem to be succeeding in their bid to be the name of portable gaming devices. The introduction of the new social gaming platform “Game Center” is hoped to be the next device flying off shelves!
