Twitter: “John Mayer” To Leave 3.7 Million Behind

For fans of pop star “John Mayer”, news in today has confirmed that he will be leaving online social networking site “Twitter”. In turn he will be leaving 3.7 million fans behind. Reports have said American musician, singer-songwriter, recording artist and producer “Mayer” used his Twitter account just to promote his recent tour and album “Battle Studies”.

According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, spokeswoman for Mayer has said that his account is “now at a close and a return to the studio planned”. But fans may not be disappointed for to long as Mayer has already turned his attention to blogging platform “Tumblr” saying “I had 3.3 million Twitter followers back in March April when I announced that I’d be predominantly posting on Tumblr, a site that makes all of 25 seconds to sign up for. Five months I have just passed 50,000 followers, a fraction of my Twitter base… I will leave the opining up to you, but I think I made the right move”.

John Mayer has enjoyed a varied music career from acoustic rock to blues, and collaborated with huge music artists such as “B B King”, “Eric Clapton” and “Buddy Guy”.
