Nokia: Now Announce Another Resignation

We recently reported on the resignation of Nokia’s CEO “Olli-Pekka Kallawvuo” who is standing down from the company on September 21 to be replaced by Microsoft’s “Stephen Elop,” and only yesterday we were told of “Annssi Vanjoki”, Head of Mobile Solutions who has also given in his resignation. A day later, yet another person will be serving out their notice!

According to Mike Butcher at TechCrunch, Nokia’s Chairman “Jorma Ollila” has told Nokia of his departure but surprisingly instead of going straight away he will be serving his time until 2012. It is not apparent at this stage why Jorma Ollila is leaving the company. One things for sure! This is not the best time to hear news of people leaving in light of today’s “Nokia 10” event showcasing some fantastic new smartphones. Nokia’s Executive Vice-President and General Manager of Markets “Niklas Savanger” has said, “ “Execution is dependent on a much larger business than just two people. Right now there are 60,000 other Nokia people committed to executing on the strategy that we have.”
