Contour who are renowned for specializing in hands-free video cameras including the “ContourHD” device, have today launched their new “ContourGPS”. Along with some fantastic features, the camera combines the added benefit of GPS tracking.

According to Dave Freeman at CrunchGear, GPS tracking will be beneficial in helping someone to find a location and will also give extra information in the form of elevation, longitude and latitude. Along with this it can just be used as a map. This latest device from Contour will include high definition with 1080p video, and users will be able to share experiences, track adventures and new places with others whilst taking advantage of a special location-based video group.

Marc Barros, CEO for Contour has said “We’re excited to introduce location as the next innovation in hands-free video cameras, GPS adds an exciting new element to video storytelling. It allows you to map your own adventures and discover new places posted by other users. Our seamless camera-to-community experience is like combining The Flip, YouTube and Google maps together into one simple, easy to use product”.

The ContourGPS is going to be available in the near future with an MSRP of $349.99.
