Facebook Teen Threat With Gun

For most of us who belong to online social networking site “Facebook”, we use it for communication purposes and to find out what may be news from around the world. But this wasn’t the case for a 16-year old teen in America.

When Alexis Stevens at AJC reported on this, the teen had been making threats involving a firearm to three fellow school classmates over Facebook. His name cannot be revealed because of his young age, but news from Cpl. Brandon Gurley from the “Paulding Sheriff’s Office” has said that the teen was arrested on Thursday. At this stage an investigation is being carried out but no firearm has been found.

Teenagers who had seen the threat on Facebook Wednesday, informed their parents straight away and the relevant authorities were contacted. The teen was charged with three felony counts of making terrorist threats, one count of disruption of a public school and one count of being an unruly juvenile. He will stand before a hearing on Monday September 13.
