Apple iPad “GetGlue” app Released

With so much media coverage surrounding the Apple iPad, users may be interested to hear about the new iPad app “GetGlue”. The new app predominately for social sharing and recommendation has just been released.

According to Christina Warren at Mashable, this latest news comes just two months after the app GetGlue was released on the iPhone and only recently for the Android. The new app allows users to check-in to TV shows, access movies and music, share check-ins with their friends and gain extra information from this. As with other apps such as Foursquare, users have the benefit of earning points and stickers.

Unlike the iPhone and Android, users may find the new iPad app beneficial to them and easier to use as the iPad being larger in design and incorporating a big screen, can make the experience of viewing streams of conversations and check-ins easier and more controllable. Advantages to the iPad app also include the function to vote up or down within the stream and being able to travel directly to the profile, objects and conversations.

Great news for those of you who may be interested. As well as this fantastic iPad app, in the next couple of months, users will be able to earn stickers for current hits such as Glee and Bones and forthcoming show Raising Hope and Lone Star. While you digest this information, it seems that GetGlue’s continuing success is growing by the day, as presently it is placed second to Twitter in the Social Networking category in the App Store.
