Co-Creator Of Xbox Joins Bebo

Co-creator of Microsoft’s Xbox “Kevin Bachus”, has now joined Bebo as new Chief Product Officer. Coincidently just 3 months ago, AOL sold Bebo to Criterion Capital Partners at a ridiculous price. Bachus has had a varied career which started with “Windows” software and game developer “Mindscape” before joining giants “Microsoft” in 1997 as Product Manager.

According to Ben Parr at Mashable, Bachus formed part of a 4 person relationship that helped to develop the original concept for the Xbox console. Since then, he has worked in roles in the entertainment and gaming industry as a leader or founder. In his new role as Chief Product Officer, Bachus will be responsible for leading product development as part of the ever increasing popular pastime. The entertainment and gaming industry currently claims 117 million users and 6.5 million monthly page views. It is hoped that he will bring something extra special to Bebo as in recent months, the site has slowly seen decline and great confusion.

Bachus has commented that this is a “dream opportunity” for him to try a lot of different ideas quickly against a large user base. While we digest this, Bebo have suggested that up and coming features to look forward to in the future may include universal chat and more video and gaming content.
