Mark Hurd former HP CEO to join Oracle as a top executive
It seems that the services of former HP CEO, Mark Hurd, are in demand as its being widely reported that he could be joining Oracle, the computer technology corporation. Hurd recently resigned from HP after allegations about sexual harassment were made against him and an investigation took place.
Although HP came to the conclusion that its sexual harassment policy was not violated, evidence did come to light that Hurd did violate the company’s Standards of Business Conduct, one of the breaches being filing incorrect business expenses, according to Samuel Axon over on Mashable.

The Wall Street Journal states that Hurd and Oracle are “in talks” and that Hurd could be joining Oracle as a top business executive. However it’s not thought that current Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison, will be replaced by Hurd and no more information is available yet as to what Hurd’s role might be. Hurd oversaw big developments with HP in his time with the company and previously Larry Ellison had said to the New York Times when HP let Hurd go that it “failed to act in the best interest of [its] employees and customers.”
For more on this go to mashable.com. It’s worth noting that the Oracle board has still to approve Hurd joining the company. What are your thoughts on Hurd’s move to Oracle? We’d be interested to know so why not send in your comments.
