Kanye West Twitter: Sends Taylor Swift Apology for VMA Stunt

It’s been almost a year now, since rapper, singer and record producer Kanye West decided to jump up on stage during Taylor Swift’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech and grab the microphone from her. However, he is now hoping to redeem himself at this year’s awards.

According to a recent article at nydailynews.com by Bill Hutchinson, West – who is currently working on a collaboration album with Jay-Z – took to his Twitter page on Saturday to send another apology to Taylor Swift, claiming that his VMA stunt made him “George Bush overnight.”

“I’m sorry, Taylor,” 33-year old West wrote on his Twitter, after saying that a little alcohol and bad timing were to blame for sabotaging Swift’s VMA moment. “There are people who don’t dislike me…they absolutely hate me,” West continued on to write about the backlash he received.

West has already apologized for the VMA mess up before, but obviously feels he needs to apologize again. In fact, West – who has recently promised to drop a song every Friday until December – is so sorry for his gaffe, that he’s written a song for Taylor, which he hopes he’ll be able to perform to her.
