Kevin Pietersen Twitter Rant: Disciplinary Action a Possibility
South African-born English cricketer appears to have got himself into a bit of trouble with the ECB recently, after he took to the popular micro-blogging website Twitter to rant about being dropped from the England squad, and described the decision as a “f—k up.”
Although Pietersen has since apologized for the incident, he could well be facing disciplinary action, according to a recent article at sify.com. However, Geoff Miller – national selector – said that Pietersen may well escape any punishment, because he claimed the post was a mistake.

Miller went on to say that he will be explaining to Pietersen how he feels about the situation. “Writing columns in newspapers or whatever leaves a player open to making questionable statements,” Miller said, adding that he sees Twitter in the same boat and he’s against it.
Pietersen was quite quick to remove the Twitter rant from his page, but unfortunately not before England bosses had been notified of its existence. The 30-year old sportsman insists that he never intended on making the message public, but was in fact trying to send it to a friend.
