Owner Finds Missing Cat via Twitter

A house cat decided to go for a ride on a train in the busy city of Dublin without her owner, and ended up lost and alone. Train staff at Pearse Street train station found her and took her in and decided to start searching for the cat’s owner.

Samuel Axon of Mashable is reporting in an article that the station staff decided to Tweet about the cat on the IrishRail account. They probably thought the chances of finding the owner would be slim as the city’s rail system is vast, but they decided to start checking CCTV camera’s from the stations.

That’s when they found footage of the cat named Lilou sneaking into a station, which helped them be more accurate of her origins in the Tweet and include a photo. This enabled them to track down Lilou’s owner so they could be reunited, and she was rewarded with a rail pass and photo ID.
