YouTube Announces Its New Free Movie Service
The popular video sharing website YouTube already offers a catch-up TV site (youtube.com/shows), where people can catch up on some of their favorite shows from Channel 4 and Five such as “Fifth Gear” and “Peep Show,” and now it looks like they are offering movies – for free!!
Yes, you did read correctly!! According to a recent report at telegraph.co.uk by Matt Warman, YouTube has now announced the launch of its movie service (youtube.com/movies), which will provide film fans with over 400 movies in a variety of genres including horror and comedy.

YouTube – which has partnered with www.blinkbox.com – will initially make 165 titles available as part of its movie section, including films such as “Death Train” starring Pierce Brosnan, “The Addiction,” “Cathy Come Home,” and “Dark Side of the Sun,” which stars Brad Pitt.
Donagh O’Malley – YouTube’s Head of Video Partnerships – said that the new movie section is just one of the company’s many efforts, to ensure that people can watch the types of videos they want to watch. You can read more via telegraph.co.uk. What do you think of the service?
