Facebook Kill List: 3 Teens Dead

Today, we have learned of a tragic story of 3 teenagers who have been murdered in a Colombian town, which at this present time have been linked to a “Kill List” on the online social networking site Facebook. The news has told of the deaths that have taken part in the last 10 days, and of a list that contains some 69 names on it.

According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, the Colombian police are unsure at this stage who posted the list and why the three names appeared on it? When CNN reported on this story, two of the three teenagers were killed on August 15, two days before the list was posted on Facebook. Police were made aware of the list on the site but its not sure whether they took it seriously. Consequently, a second list then appeared with some 31 other names on it, and from this the third teenager was murdered.

From this, authorities have offered a reward of 5 million peso (around $2,750) for anyone who may have further information surrounding this somewhat unusual case. Investigators have been brought in to look at this and the possible link to two gangs that are proving to be a problem in the area.
