Best iPhone Apps to help prepare for school

It’s that time of year again, when the autumn is coming, and school or college is calling. Yes, it’s back to school time shortly and after students have had the summer vacation it can sometimes be difficult to get back into the right frame of mind for study.

Bearing this in mind Stephanie Marcus over on Mashable has put together a handy list of 10 iPhone Apps that can help with going back to school and we’re going to give you a sample of what’s available. A great idea for example is ‘Mental Case’ at $4.99. Everyone knows the benefits of Flash Cards for study but it can be laborious making them up and this App allows you to create them on your iPhone instead, and insert audio or video reminders too. You can also download the cards to your computer if you don’t want to be peering at your phone for too long.

Alternatively how about the ‘myHomework’ iPhone app which is free, with color coding to help you keep track of all your assignments for different topics. It reminds you when an assignment is due and you can plan your assignments, even to deciding how much time you want to spend on them. You can also send friends homework reminders, though they may not thank you for it!

One of the best apps listed for back to school is ‘Chegg’ as we all know just how costly textbooks can be. This is also a free app for a textbook rental company with literally millions of titles. Search for the book you want by entering the title, ISBN or scan the barcode. It also shows you the rental cost compared to the cost of purchasing but of course you do have to remember to return the books. No problem though as Chegg will even issue you with reminders so you don’t have to pay late fees.
