Apple Media Event September 7: iTV, iPod Touch Expectations

Bloomberg covered a huge piece all about how Apple aims to offer TV shows for just 99 cents, but what they failed to mention was an Apple Media Event scheduled for September 7th, that’s according to Arnold Kim from Mac Rumors. Expectations are very high, as we all hope to not only see the new iPod Touch fourth-generation, but also the iTV – Apple’s updated TV device.

This date does make sense for a 2010 update to Apple TV, as it is just two weeks before the start of the new prime-time TV season. Apple is expected to sell the new TV media device for just $99 and come with iOS instead of the current OS used to run things.

As we know Apple currently has a Back to School promotion, the date of September 7th is the last day of that campaign – so great timing. We do not know if Apple will make the new iPod Touch available on the same day as the event, but we would of thought so, as will be ideal to get in those sales figures for the 2010 holiday season.

We already know so much about the new iPod – well we presume to know. It is expected to not only come with a 5-megapixel camera on the rear, but also a front-facing camera on the front as well. This would allow for FaceTime calling. What are your expectations for this Apple Media Event?
