Next Gen iMac To Include iPad?

For fans of Apple, recent news has come in that the future of iMac may well incorporate a built-in iPad. Sources indicate that the website “Patently Apple” has uncovered important files dating back to September 2009 and first published in January of this year, stating that a system for the iMac touch will also act as a tablet at the same time.

According to Christina Warren at Mashable, it appears that the Apple iMac will act as a standard device with a flat screen monitor and control of a mouse and keyboard, but when reclined back, the user will benefit from it becoming a iPad. This will work when a sensor sets off the multi-touch mode and switches it over from the Mac OS X to an iOS. Also stated in the patent files, includes details that would allow the iPhone or iPad to be controlled from the iMac touch.

For fans of Apple and those of you who have to have the latest up to date gadgets, the idea of the two devices working together as one is enough to get you excited! When Mashable looked into this, the patent files seem to date right back to 2007, so from this, Apple have been hard at work trying to come up with some fantastic new ideas including the recent accessory, the “Magic Trackpad”.
