Katy Perry Uses Twitter to Announce Album Release

Katy Perry’s Twitter followers were greeted with a message on the “California Gurls” singer’s Twitter page today, which read: “IT’S TIME! TEENAGEDREAM!” This of course is to mark the release date of her brand new album “Teenage Dream,” which hit the stores today.

According to a recent report at contactmusic.com, Katy and her fiancé Russell Brand have actually been counting down the days, to the album’s official release. She recently posted a message that read: “A few more hours…I have christmas eve jitters.”

25-year old Perry started recording “Teenage Dream” – her third studio album – back in October of last year. She called in a few other artists to give her a hand, including Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. The very first single from the album “California Gurls,” was released back in May.
