Facebook: Promoting New “Places” Video

We reported recently on news that online social networking site Facebook have now launched their new iPhone app “Facebook Places”. During a press conference on Wednesday at Palo Alto Campus, the new 3.2 version of the app was launched along with a video for attendees to see.

When Ben Parr at Mashable looked into this, the promotional video for Facebook Places online, is hoped to be stiff competition against location-based services such as Foursquare and Gowalla. But on saying this, Thursday saw Foursquare’s user numbers increase even beating off their signup record. So perhaps, at this stage, Facebook may have some work to do!

The latest two and a half minute video promoting the new “Places” app, is a fantastic way of showing users how their daily lives can be improved. It includes places of where friends can connect to each other and tells of stories from other users about what they did at certain locations.

For users to get a good insight into the new Facebook “Places” app the video is definitely a must see! Check it out below.
