YouTube Charts launch: Keeping tabs on worldwide web videos

For some while now there’s been talk about the most-watched videos on YouTube with battles breaking out as to whether for example the video most viewed was Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber. Now it seems, YouTube have come up with an innovation that will stop all the arguments and maybe settle the odd bet.

There’s going to be a new section called YouTube Charts which will include listings of the top videos trending, the all-time videos most watched and compare videos to each other, similar to a pop chart of world video in fact, according to Jolie O’Dell over on Mashable.

There are several ways in which you’ll be able to categorize the videos such as most-viewed, or the most likes. You’ll even be able to filter the charts by entering the most subscribers over the last day, week, month and so on. Each list will have a top 100 displayed so it will really be much easier to keep on top of the best videos to watch. If they’re the most viewed they have to be worth a watch surely, well not in every case maybe but certainly in some.
