Google Earth Enterprise 4.0: List of features

For those of you who like to keep up with all the developments of Google Earth you’ll be interested to know that Google Earth Enterprise 4.0 has now been released. One particularly interesting new feature is that of the Portable Earth System.

The Portable Earth System enables users of GEE 4.0 to get hold of their information when internet connectivity is limited or doesn’t exist at all, according to Google Earth Blog sourced from Google LatLong Blog, by downloading a section of the Google Earth Enterprise globe to their laptops.

Other features of GEE 4.0 include Mobile Access via Google Earth on Android, which supports direct connections to customers’ globes and support for Google Earth 5.2 with new features such as elevation profiles and the new embedded web-browser. The latest version of the Google Earth plug-in is also provided whereby users can connect to more than one globe at the same time.
