Verizon Leaks Motorola DROID Pro and World Edition

BGR has been doing what they do best, and has managed to speak to a few sources at Verizon on some of their upcoming devices. We already suspected that Big Red were about to announce a few more products, and we can now tell you that they are the Motorola DROID Pro along with a World Edition.

We recently covered what we assumed were the specs for the Pro, and it looks as if some of them were correct. The new Droid Pro from Motorola will come with a large 4-inch display – which seems to be the norm these days – and 1.3GHz processor.

The only difference with the World Edition means that the Verizon smartphone will be capable of global roaming, something that is not possible with standard Big Red phones because of them being CDMA and not GSM. According to BGR sources there will be two-color choice, black or white.

Verizon are certainly showing their commitment to the Droid handset, surly AT&T must now be worried that they are being passed over with all the latest Android handsets? Yes they have the iPhone – but for how long? – and they are to become the premium Windows Phone 7 carrier, but is this enough?
