Verizon iPhone, iPad 2 or iPod Touch in iOS 4 Code
An auto activation code block has been discovered by a source from Apple. This code is hidden within iOS 4. BGR has reported, that if triggered the device is bypassed allowing a field tester to use the handset without the need to use iTunes.
The code questions the device and providing that it is either iPad 2 or CDMA iPhone, it initiates the auto-activation. It is said that this source of block code has been discovered before any major release of Apple iPhone products over the last few years but is removed just before the launch.

It is not clear as to Apple’s reasoning behind this but it is speculated that it could be either purely for the simplicity for any carriers or to elevate AT&T and other network providers finding any information.
