Verizon iPhone wanted by over 50 percent of customers

In a recent survey carried out by Morpace, statistics revealed that 51% of existing Verizon customers would purchase an iPhone if it was available on their chosen network provider. The American company, “Verizon” which specialises in broadband and telecommunications was initially set up in 2000 and now provides its service to BlackBerry, Motorola and Samsung handsets.

According to Mark Raby at I4U News, the survey which was carried out on a 1,000 people asked them how they would feel if the top-selling iPhone was available with Verizon. When people were asked if they would purchase a Verizon iPhone regardless of their current handset provider, their response was “that they would jump from their existing provider to change”.

A small group (20%) of T-mobile customers were asked the same question. They commented that they were “somewhat likely” or “very likely” to stop their current service and change to Verizon. The number was highlighted by 22% for Sprint customers and 23% for AT&T. Figures shown incorporated 47% of existing iPhone owners saying that they would be happy to switch over to Verizon.

Rumor has it that Verizon may be bringing the iPhone to our stores in January as AT&T’s contract with Apple will be finishing by the end of the year.
