Motorola Droid 2: Available for pre-sale

News has it, that the Motorola’s new Droid 2 being released on Thursday 12 August will be available for pre-sale tomorrow. Finally, for fans of the Motorola the waiting is over! Following on from the recent success of the Droid X which was released during last month, it is hoped that this newest edition will follow suit.

According to Darren Murph at Engadget, fans have a lot to look forward to with superb new features. These include the Android Froyo 2.2 update, Flash Player 10.1 and a revamped external QWERTY keyboard. Also incorporated within this new design will be a 3.7 inch multitouch display, 5MP camera, DLNA streaming and a 8GB memory card as well as other features.

Verizon will be releasing the newest version to Motorola tomorrow as a pre-sale item at $199.99 on a 2-year contract with in-store availability on Thursday. Other news to get you excited! The R2-D2 edition Droid 2 will be “making an entrance” along with “Star Wars” content online in the month of September.
