360 View of Motorola Droid 2 on Verizon

Reports have shown that the Motorola Droid 2 smartphone will be released on 12 August. Up until now users have enjoyed the Motorola Droid and Droid X, carried by Verizon. Motorola launched the Droid at the end of last year and saw figures of at least 250,000 handsets being sold within the first week.

According to phones review, we can now enjoy the Droid 2 with the 360 degree viewer, which enables the smartphone to be viewed at different angles on the Verizon Wireless website. Features to look out for include, an improved keyboard and the Android Froyo 2.2 OS to name but a few. Retail costs are looking to be in the region of $199 with a new two-year plan or $599 contract free from Best Buy.

Will this new handset do as well as the Droid X which was released back in July? It boasted of a big HD screen, Android OS, and customers were more than happy with the quality of calls and the fact that they did not lose reception.
