Prop 8 Overturned: Kardashian, DeGeneres and Lambert tweets

Vaughn Walker will be one of the most popular Federal judge’s in the U.S. amongst the gay community, as he overturned Prop 8, this was what stopped same sex marriages. As you would imagine a number of celebrities have come out in force on Twitter to tweet their reactions.

According to More Horror, it came as no surprise that Ellen DeGeneres, Ricky Martin and Adam Lambert would have something to tweet about, DeGeneres saying, “Equality won!” Lambert basically saying that he will be celebrating the overturning of proposition 8.

It is no secret that this has been a long battle, and we are certain that this is not the last that we have heard from it. We know that there are those who do not agree with this latest ruling, but we know that there are those who will be so happy, such as the celebs we mentioned above.

The image above is part of the PDF of the judge’s ruling; you can see it in full on Mashable, who obtained it from document-sharing site Scribd. It was no surprise that this document was the most viral they have ever had on their website.

Do you agree that prop 8 should have been overturned, or should it have never been ruled in the first place?

Let me start off by saying that I am a Conservative Republican. I am conservative on fiscal issues but moderate on social. Render unto Caesar what is due Caesar and unto God what is due God.

Lets leave morality to the church pulpits. If gays want to marry let them. If they want to adopt and they are responsible loving parents let them. Being gay isn’t a learned behavior. The adopted child it gay parents is nor more likely to become gay than the child of straight parents is likely to go straight.

The portions of the Bible which ban homosexuality (Leviticus) also ban all other types of behavior than Christians regularly ignore.

On the other hand, I am not thrilled that a single unelected judge can overturn the will of the people with the wave of their hand.

Never the less. I have nothing against gays marrying.
