Twitter @Reply Services: Five of the best

For users of the social networking site Twitter, there are ways of keeping tabs of what people are saying about you on the micro-blogging service. Plenty of apps, brand monitoring and keyword alert services are available to the user, but Mashable have found five free services that fans of Twitter can use.

When Amy-Mae Elliott at Mashable looked into the services that are accessible, it was found that the five listed can provide an e-mail each time you are receiving an @mention or getting an @reply. Services such as Twitstra, Ugo Twitt, TweetAlarm, Pu.ly and Twilert. Each of these services offers something different to the next. For example, Pu.ly allows the user to check into their Twitter account at different times during the day, the user can sign in at any time to check updates etc. This service will also tell the user via e-mail when you have @reply or mention, and when the user is added to a Twitter list or receives a direct message.

Twilert is a web-based Twitter app that can be used not to just send an @mention notifier but the user can specify the time gap required for alerts to come through.
