Cisco Does Old Spice Guy: 18 YouTube Videos
It was only a matter of time before another brand tired to take advantage of the Old Spice Guy viral campaign. You would have thought that it would be some hip company that would be able to take the ad campaign to the next level – but you would be wrong, it is Cisco.
The Old Spice campaign was original and featured a guy called Isaiah Mustafa, where he had a series of videos, as well as interacting with his fans via Twitter. This campaign worked wonders for the brand, as we reported yesterday that Old Spice had more than doubled its profits.
Brenna Ehrlich from Mashable reports that Cisco posted a blog, which is a bit of a mouthful really, but you can see the video of it below. The video starts by saying how much they liked the Old Spice campaign and thought they would try and offer their own version of the campaign.
You can see their first try in the second video, but there are 18 in total, but do not expect much from them. Watching the first video you can see that Cisco has not tried anything different, why not watch them and draw your own conclusions.
