Apple iPhone 4 Problems: Damage control by Steve Jobs
When Apple announced that it was holding an emergency press conference on Friday, people started wondering how Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs was going to explain the problems that the new iPhone 4 has been having with its reception.
Some reports claimed that Apple would recall its iPhone 4 units, while others claimed that the company would offer free bumper cases for iPhone 4 users. And as reported by Lawrence Latif at theinquirer.net, the latter was exactly what Steve Jobs offered.

During the press conference – which lasted around 90 minutes – Steve Jobs repeated the same thing several times, on how Apple “loves it users.” Instead of actually admitting that it was a fault with the design, Jobs just laid the blame on the entire mobile phone industry.
After he attempted (and failed) to justify the poor wireless reception capabilities of the iPhone 4 by holding a Blackberry Bold 9700, Samsung’s Omnia II and HTC’s Droid Eris, Steve Jobs then went on to proclaim that “Phones aren’t perfect.”
