It appears that MySpace is getting its profile pages updated with a complete redesign which is currently being tested by some users from today. A MySpace rep has stated that the redesign is so far getting a favourable response from users and that it wants users to provide them with feedback on the changes.
This was learned in a statement sent to Mashable and an article there by Ben Parr looks into more details about the profile page changes. Just some of the changes include features like a new left-hand navigation, whereby navigation has been moved to underneath the profile picture.
Another feature is being able to keep up with Facebook and Twitter from your MySpace profile page. According to the article the UI is also much improved with an enhanced design. The changes are no doubt being made as part of MySpace’s efforts to keep up with its rivals and any effort to do so must be applauded.
Not all users will be able to test out these changes as presently MySpace are looking for feedback from the users who can test it, before a site-wide launch. For more on this go to mashable.com. It looks like a positive move on the part of MySpace but do you think it’s too late for the social networking site to turn things around? Why not let us know what you think with a comment.
