Social Media: 10 Travel Resources

In case you hadn’t noticed summer is now well and truly upon us and if you have the travel bug you’ll be planning your next trip. There are so many travel resources online now that it can be difficult to know quite where to begin so we’ve found a great article which will help you find some of the best travel resources available.

The article is over on Mashable by Stephanie Marcus and lists 10 useful tools. For example there’s a resource for iPhone Apps for Stress Free Family Travel, which details 11 apps handy for holidays, such as Rest Area Finder, Pack and Go Deluxe, or even Family Car Games which many parents would find invaluable.

If travelling on your own is more your thing, then there’s Find a Travel Mate for Your Next Remote Adventure which does what it says on the tin. Using Globetrotter you can plan trips with people you haven’t even met yet and find like-minded people to go with. Another one that particularly caught my attention was Tech Tourism: 10 Great Geek Destinations, which includes vacations to such wild destinations as the Apple Company Store in Cupertino or South Park in San Francisco where the idea of Twitter was conceived.

For the full article go to mashable.com. Which resource that you haven’t found yet do you think would be a really useful tool to help out when travelling? We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
