Twitter’s Facebook app is facing problems

Online social media appeals to users of all different ages, and big sites such as Facebook and Twitter seem to receive a fair amount of these users. Recently, the Twitter Facebook app (a new feature) was a way of informing people who amongst their friends also had a Twitter account.

According to Josh Lowensonn at CNN, Facebook have put a stop to this. If users now try to access this feature, a message will appear that informs them, that the connection between Facebook and Twitter is not working, and that the problem is being looked in and resolved.

On Wednesday of last week, a post that was put on the Twitter blog, said that the problem was believed to be down to Facebook, and its subsequent blocking on this application. Along with this, a spokesperson for Facebook said that the 2 online sites were working together to eradicate these problems. How long this will take is difficult to determine at this stage. Blocking of an app is not a recent dilemma that Facebook have had to deal with, back in 2008, Plaxo that specialises in contact management were on the receiving end of Facebook’s shutdown of an app.

What are your thoughts on the Twitter Facebook app, did Facebook make the right decision?
