New Xbox 360 Slim Price and release date

Microsoft’s official Xbox Twitter account, has now announced that the unique Xbox 360 will hit Europe on July 16 2010, with some retailers expecting theirs later this week. The new “Stealthbox” as it will be known, will be priced for $299, while the old Elite will stay at $249 with the Arcade dropping to $149.

According to Engadget the Xbox 360 Original will still be sold while there’s stock, but they’re not making any more of them. It is hoped that a new $199 model will take over from it in the near future.

With a glossy black box and touch-sensitive buttons, and one large fan instead of 2, will give the box a very quiet appearance. The new 45mm chipset will generate less heat to begin with. Along with these unique selling points, it will contain 2.4GHz 802.11n Wifi, 5 USB ports and 250GB of storage on a removable hard drive, and a much welcomed power supply from inside the case.

Along with this, upgraders will be able to use a USB to Xbox hard drive connector cable to the new box. A “custom Kinect port” resembling a HTC style ExtUSB port, is situated on the back.
