Pakistan Bans Twitter: Site is Restricted

Pakistan has now banned Twitter, shortly after pulling the plug on Facebook and Youtube. The massive worldwide sites have been forbidden due to offensive web pages and blasphemous contents.

Twitter officials were asked to remove the incorrect information but did not do so, hence why the Pakistani government have banned the micro-blogging site. Follow the link to Dunialive.com for more information on what Twitter posted that caused outrage.

When a user is trying to access Twitter, Facebook or Youtube, they will encounter a “site is restricted” message preventing them from using it. Will this spark a rebel if the angry members access their accounts? The ban does not seem to be a clever idea because no matter how many websites you ban, people will always find a way of getting the information they want.

Who knows whether the ban will be lifted or become permanent? No doubt there are plenty of unhappy customers in Pakistan at the moment. What do you think about the social networking ban in Pakistan? Let us know.

Get over it, seriously. All of this time and effort that is being put into focus on social networking sites could be given to issues that need more attention. There's a slew of people that know how to talk shit on the internet- we get that already. Both sides have their own points but who honestly cares anymore. This has escalated into one of the dumbest bans I have seen.

Twitter is not banned. People are accessing it using PTCL which is the government ISP. Talk about disinformation.
