Twitter Users: Justin Bieber, Oprah, and Lady GaGa Top

A bug – which has been dubbed the “accept bug” – was discovered on the popular social networking site Twitter recently. The bug allowed users to tweet people, who would then be automatically forced to follow whoever sent them the tweet.

And if the recent bug has taught us anything about Twitter, it would be that it showed us exactly who users are most desperate to have follow them back. Many users just noticed that they were following a few new accounts, but for others it was very different.

Some well-known users found themselves bombarded with hundreds of new follows. Over at mashable.com, they have compiled a list of the 20 most popular Twitter users who were forced followed according to the “accept” bug this week.

While people such as Bill Gates and President Barack Obama made it onto the list, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber made it much higher. And according to the report, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton ranked as the fifth most popular Twitter user for the “accept bug.”

However, the woman that ruled them all by coming out on top was legendary talk show host Oprah Winfrey. Other celebrity Twitter users to make it onto the list include Kevin Jonas, Taylor Swift, Jim Carrey, Britney Spears and Conan O’Brien.
