Microsoft’s Office 2010 was officially launched yesterday and made available at the same time was Office Mobile 2010 for use on mobile phones. From now on if you want to use Excel, Word and Powerpoint Editing while you’re out and about you can as long as your device is powered by Windows Mobile 6.5.

Because it’s been released at the same time as the desktop Office 2010 the two are compatible and Microsoft Business Division president, Stephen Elop, said, ““With the 2010 set of products, organizations will save, innovate and grow as their people benefit from working across the PC, phone and browser,” according to softpedia.com.

Just some features of Office Mobile 2010 include SharePoint integration, Bluetooth controller mode for PowerPoint presentations and a simple capability to take notes on the phone. The company line is that Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 gives the strong Office 2010 tools on Windows phones, and the interface has been explicitly designed for handsets.
