Telstra’s New ‘Social Review’ Program: 25 HTC Desire Phones

Are you after getting your hands on the HTC Desire phone, but are too wary of Telstra’s up-front price tag of $779? Well if you are, then Telstra is offering the ideal solution with its new “social review” program, which will give away 25 of the Android smartphones.

According to a recent article at apcmag.com, Telstra is upping its social media efforts and customer engagement, through the newly-launched “social review” program. The program will give away 25 HTC Desire phones, to Australians who are willing to review the device.

And Telstra is promising that this isn’t some sort of “cash for comment” or “product for praise” deal. They say they are not looking for glowing reviews or “yes” people, but rather honest reviewers that are happy to talk about their HTC Desire Telstra Next G network experience.

Anyone who wants to participate in the “social review” program, and review the handset will need to register and complete an application form by 5pm, on Monday May 10th. After then, Telstra will choose its 25 “social reviewers” to participate in the new scheme.

However, Bevins went on to explain that reviewers do need to be active participants in social media conversations – blogs, YouTube, Twitter etc – and share an active interest in mobile phones and how they can help us find new ways to stay connected.
