Packard Bell’s EasyNote TM Laptops: Dedicated social media button

Packard Bell are set to launch their latest range of laptops, but with an extra twist. The new EasyNote TM notebooks have a unique feature for social media purposes.

The Packard Bell social networks key is an extra button next to the keyboard that when pressed opens the social networks application. The app opens on the right hand side of the screen allowing you to view Facebook, Youtube and Flickr without having to open a new browser. In doing this you can easily view and share images and videos, update your profiles, post comments and play games. Check out Latestgadgets.co.uk for a review of the new laptops.

The new products look to be aimed at the younger generation with the social network conveinience and will not doubt be a success. However there have been some criticisms of limited social media support.

The app does not include the massively popular microblogging site Twitter which is arguably the most used social networking website on the planet. Also not included were Myspace and Google Buzz. It is not clear if Packard Bell will update the application to include these sites.

So what do you think about the new Social Media button? Let us know.
