Usain Bolt vs. Tiger Woods: Facebook Fans

Champion sprinter Usain Bolt is rapidly growing in popularity due to his title as a world record holder in running. It is no surpise that he is attracting fans from around the whole planet.

Back in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 23 year old Jamaican smashed the 100, 200 and 4×100 metre sprints in record times, creating history in front of our eyes. Since picking up 3 gold medals, Bolt has become a worldwide hero and according to Jamaicanobsever.com, he has over 1.7 million subscribers on his Facebook fan page. That is 300,000 more than the world no.1 golfer Tiger Woods! I am sure this will be the least of Woods worries as he looks to get his golf back on track. However Bolt is still behind NBA sensation Lebron James and the amazing Fifa World Player Lionel Messi who both have over 1.8 million fans. Usain is happy with his popularity and wants to continue to influence as many people he can to achieve “legendary status”.

Bolt was watched by a record 54,000 crowd at last weekend’s 116th staging of the Penn Relays, and he hopes plenty more fans will start coming to watch him. So are you a fan of Usain Bolt? Let us know what you think of him.
