Pepsi Max Social Media Campaign Targets Men

There’s interesting new today of a Pepsi Max online campaign targeting groups of young men in a bid to rejuvenate their lives. It’s in the form of an online video competition on social media sites and runs from now through to November.

According to nma.co.uk the idea has been created by AMV BBDO and Unit9, and they are calling it the Max It Legends campaign. Put basically it’s about a site where 3 older male characters act as mentors and inspiration to younger men.

Entrants need to make a 60 second film based on one of 3 topics, football, music or film, explaining why they need to make a change for the better. Each category winner will come away with £50,000. Pepsi will urge teams to post their videos on the social network sites where their friends are and the winning videos will be voted for by the public.

You’ll be able to find details on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter and on those channels people will also be able to follow the winners’ progress. There will also be a Max It Legends website.
