LG’s First Android Phone: LG GW620 and Social Networking

The LG GW620 is a different phone for the Korean consumer Electronics Company for a number of reasons; the main one is that it is their first Google Android phone. LG plan to launch a host of other Android based handset, with all of them having social networking features.

The LG GW620 is not going to win any design awards for originality, with its HVGA 3-inch LCD and slide-out QWERTY keyboard looking a lot like some of their other models. The inclusion of an SNS Manager makes your life much easier as you can check out a friend’s status or update yours all remotely.

The ability to manage all of your social networking accounts from one place is something that many cell phones are offering, so was a no-brainer for the GW60 to get it. Auto face tagging is something that LG will promote heavily with this new model, those who own a Mac will know how useful this feature is.

According to Press Release, once you have tagged a face, you can touch the face on the screen and then go to their contact details, call them, send a message and much more.

We just hope that the other LG Android handsets have more to offer in the design department.
