Foursquare has not been getting as much attention as the likes of Facebook or Twitter, but that is all about to change. The news that Arnold Schwarzenegger has now joined the geolotation service has now brought it to the mainstream.
The Governor of California already has more than a 1,000 followers on Foursqaure; the reason for this is because the account is directly linked to his official Twitter page. This could be the start of things to come; maybe Schwarzenegger can become the Ashton Kutcher of Foursquare?

Stan Schroeder from Mashable explains that this is great news for Foursquare, as it is now showing the same signs as Twitter did some time back. The social networking site is now coming out of its infancy and is stretching its legs.
We do wonder if Foursquare will be able to make it in the mainstream as much as its rivals have, what do you think?
