Facebook to add Bebo features in the future?

Some interesting news for regular users of Facebook now, as it has been reported that the social networking website has enlisted the services of a former chief executive for rival site Bebo.

As reported from ITProPortal, Joanna Shields, the former Bebo CEO will now take over operations in Europe, to try and turn over a profit from the website’s huge popularity in the region.

Shields was the figure behind AOL’s $850 million takeover of Bebo in 2008, but now sees a greater opportunity with Facebook, in which she’ll now assume the role of Vice President in Europe.

What does this mean for Facebook users though? Will she be looking to bring over some of the most popular features from Bebo into Facebook, or will she just take a ‘behind the scenes’ approach to her new role.
