Apps news for iPad: Get your TweetDeck now

So at last those of you who’ve been queuing around the block for your Apple iPads have scurried home with your prize, unwrapped it carefully from its box and are now starting to enjoy every glorious moment with your new best friend.

Next you’ll be thinking about which apps to download and one of the first should really be the already popular desktop and iPhone app, TweetDeck. It’s now available from the Apps Store and the pledge is an even better Twitter encounter that stays true to the original.

The app is free of charge and has two iPad interfaces that will optimise column appearance and operation of the app. The app bears up synchronization with the desktop or iPhone app, Twitter lists, multiple Twitter accounts, tweet geo-tagging, and much more including the capability of rearranging columns with your fingers.

There is also one bonus which is not on the desktop app and that is a map view of tweets. If you choose “View on Map” for any column it will show geocoded tweets on a screen map. If you’re an avid Twitter user, then you really should grab the TweetDeck. If you’d like to take a look at the TweetDeck in action click on the link below.

Have you got your hands on an iPad yet, and if so, what’s the best thing you’ve discovered about it so far? We’d be interested in hearing your opinions on the iPad so please let us know.
